Install the MagicPolygon app from the AppStore.

 

School Admin:

Please follow the below flow

Create an account ➡️ Select the “School Admin”  role, then create your account and create your school.

 

During the registration process, Press the “Add Teacher” button and register with the first name, last name, and the email address of the teacher. This will send an invite email to the teacher. Once the teacher accepts the invite, the teacher will be associated with the school.

 

The school admin creates the classes for the school year using the Add a class button.

 

Adding a new teacher and creating a new class can be done at any point of time from the ‘My School’ tab 

 

Teacher:

The teacher should receive an email invite from the school admin for using the MagicPolygon school account. Once the teacher accepts the invite, the teacher will be prompted to change the password. Please ensure that you change the password.

 

Login to the MagicPolygon app using the email address (the email account  on which you received the invite) and password

 

Associate to your class:

From ‘My Classroom’ ➡️ ‘My Classes’ ➡️ ‘Add a class to my Account’ ➡️ Select a class from the drop-down ➡️ Done

The above step will be associated with one of the classes created by the School Admin.

 

Add Student: 

From  ‘My Classroom’ ➡️‘My Students ➡️ ‘Add student’ ➡️Enter student’s first name, last name select the class from the drop-down and enter Parent email → Done

This will send an email invite to the student’s parent. Once the parent accepts the invite, the student will be added to the class.

Review a story:

After a parent sends a kid's recorded story for review, the teacher will get an email notification about the request review.

 

Then the teacher can launch the MagicPolygon app, ‘My Classroom’➡️Reviews➡️Pending

 to see a list of stories that are pending reviews. Then, select the story, press Listen, and can write a review while listening and complete review. The parents can see the reviewed story comments.

 

Parent of the school kid:

The parent should receive an email invite from the teacher for using the MagicPolygon school account. Once the parent accepts the invite, the parent will be prompted to change the password for the first time. Please ensure that you change the password. Once the parent accepts the invite, the parent and the child account will be associated with the school.

 

Login to the MagicPolygon app using the email address (the email account on which  you received the invite) and password

 

The parent account will also have an option to switch to the child's profile.

If you want to record a story in a kid’s voice, please switch to kids profile and then record the story

 

Send a kid’s story for Review:

From  ‘My Stories' ➡️‘Recorded’ ➡️ Child’s stories (child's first name will be displayed)➡️select the story ➡️send to teacher➡️choose a teacher from drop-down ➡️ send

 

This should send the story to a teacher’s review.

 

Reviewed Stories:

Parents can view the teacher’s review comments from  ‘My Stories’ ➡️ ‘Reviewed’ ➡️ Child’s stories  (child's first name will be displayed)

 

Ways to use MagicPolygon:

The teacher records a story and publishes it to the class.

Teacher live-streams stories to the class.

Students record stories at home and the parent sends the story to the teacher for review.

Students can put their visual art and writing skills to the test by creating their own storybooks with uploaded images of their own drawings.
