Zoom Integration Guide

 

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for adding, using, and removing the Magic Polygon Zoom integration. With this integration, you can schedule and host live, interactive storytelling sessions with friends, family, and students directly through Zoom.

1. Prerequisites

Before getting started, please ensure you have:

  • A valid Zoom account

  • A Magic Polygon account

 

2. Adding the App & Scheduling a Session

To authorize the integration and schedule your first live session:

  1. Log in to your Magic Polygon account.

  2. From your dashboard, select Create Story.

  3. Choose the story you would like to present live.

  4. Select Connect with Zoom. You will be redirected to the Zoom sign-in page.

  5. Sign in with your Zoom credentials and select Allow to authorize Magic Polygon.

  6. Once authorized, you will be redirected back to Magic Polygon, where you can select Schedule with Zoom to set a date and time for your session.

3. Using the App

Hosting a session:

  1. At the scheduled time, log in to your Magic Polygon account.

  2. Select your scheduled story.

  3. Select Tell Live Story.

  4. Your session will begin automatically, launching a Zoom meeting within the app. As host, you control the story and scene progression for all participants.

Joining a session:

  1. Log in to your Magic Polygon account.

  2. Go to your scheduled sessions.

  3. Select Join Live Schedule.

  4. You will be connected to the live Zoom session within the app, where you can see, hear, and interact with the host in real time.

 

4. Removing the App & Data Deletion

To remove the Magic Polygon integration from your Zoom account:

  1. Log in to your Zoom account at zoom.us.

  2. Go to Settings and select Zoom Apps (labeled "Connected Apps" in some accounts).

  3. Locate Magic Polygon in your list of connected apps.

  4. Select Remove (or Disconnect) and confirm.

Once removed, Magic Polygon immediately loses access to your Zoom account. To request permanent deletion of any associated account data from our servers, please contact us at support@magicpolygon.com.
